چکیده
Purpose: To study the influence of Xuebijing (XBJ) injection on patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), and to elucidate underlying mechanism action.
Methods: Thirty-nine HCC were retrospectively analyzed. They assigned 3 groups: negative group which received no XBJ injection, low-dose given (50 ml), high-dose 100 mL injection. Peripheral blood was separately collected andanalyzed first day admission TACE.
Results: TACE led liver damage in patients, increased serum activities ALT AST, total bilirubin (tBLB). Moreover, elevated white cells, neutrophil count, C-reactive protein (CRP) expression levels inflammation cytokines. In groups treated injection, there dose-dependent mitigation dysfunction, reduced inflammatory cytokines, when compared group. However, did not affect myelosuppression or regulatory T cells.
Conclusion: dose-dependently decreases injury by suppressing response. Thus, may exert hepatoprotective effect humans clinical practice.

Ischemic bile duct injury as a serious complication after transarterial chemoembolization in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
BACKGROUND Bile duct injuries after transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) have been reported; however, the exact pathogenic mechanisms and clinical implications of the injuries remain to be clarified. STUDY A total of 950 consecutive patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were studied. Among them, 807 were treated with TACE and the remaining 143 were treated with transarterial chemoinf...
متن کاملTransarterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is common cancer in the world. Hepatitis B/C or alcoholic cirrhosis is usually underlying condition. Surgical resection is curative treatment for small HCC, however most patients usually present when advanced or inoperable disease. Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is most common alternative treatment for early and advanced HCC. Curative treatment is possible...

We aim to investigate the clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) patients treated by transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in Chinese cohort. A total of 2,493 HCC patients treated by TACE were included in this retrospective study. Patients were divided into the younger group (n=1,877) or the elderly group (n=616) based upon their ages (cut-off value o...
متن کاملInflammatory Markers as Prognostic Factors of Survival in Patients Affected by Hepatocellular Carcinoma Undergoing Transarterial Chemoembolization
INTRODUCTION Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a good choice for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treatment when surgery and liver transplantation are not feasible. Few studies reported the value of prognostic factors influencing survival after chemoembolization. In this study, we evaluated whether preoperative inflammatory factors such as neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and platelet to ly...
